Rome – The Places in Between
“All Roads Lead to Rome” echoes through the ages, a resounding phrase that reverberates in our minds. This saying, born from a millennia of dominance, bears witness to Rome’s past imperial glory.
Yet, Rome’s saga does not end with the Ancient Romans. Amidst the ashes of their fall Ancient Rome gave way to the haunting beauty of the Middle Ages and the transformative power of the Renaissance. Beyond the iconic sites like the Colosseum or the Roman Forum, Rome shelters an abundance of lesser-known works of art, architecture, Renaissance palaces, and enigmatic museums for those willing to dig deeper. It’s within these ancient streets that the greatest sculptors, painters, and visionaries breathed life into their masterpieces under the patronage of aristocrats, Cardinals, and Popes. Every step on Rome’s cobbled streets treads on the legacies of Hadrian, Raphael, Borromini, Michelangelo, Bernini, and countless other masters, whose creations adorn this city like precious jewels.
For almost 30 years, I have embarked upon pilgrimages to Rome, each journey a discovery of something old yet eternally new. This city is a sublime repository of history, art, architecture, and boundless beauty.
Rome is my quest. To drink from the cup of her legacy, to attempt to capture even a fragment of her magnificence and share it with the world is a journey I have been honored to take.
